Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME and Trustworthy Outcome Each Time This is an awesome product. Can be used without doctoring. Can touch up tanginess by adding a few drops of lemon juice. Same with adding a touch of dry or fresh tarragon. I have used it with salted or unsalted butter. I recommend whole milk, but also have done it with 1% & 2 %. Mistakenly used heavy whipping cream one time--not good---sludge. :) Can make 1-2 days ahead and rewarm. Add a wee bit of milk if the rewarming process makes it seem to thick, and whip for a bit.I have rewarmed in the microwave, but I think the stove is better. I think with any sauce in the cooking process, the absolute need to continuely stir it while cooking or rewarming is key to outcome. Great time saver. Used it since the 1980's. Always the way to go because it's perfect each time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best and Easiest to make We have been using this since I first tried it in 1982. Tried making from scratch but this package is just SO much easier to make. We use it over fried eggs on English muffins or on toast but without the steak. (This was Dean Martins breakfast after being up with the Rat Pack all night in Vegas!) We usually have to make two packages as everyone here loves this and we smother the food. Sometimes the local stores stop carrying it. I always complain to the local manager and the chain home when this happens. They get it back. There is never a day when there is none in our house! For the folks that say they cannot read the package, try different lighting. I would like the package to have different colored print also, but I no longer need to read it.....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bernaise is not the way it used to be! We " treated" our dieting selves to Bernaise sauce for our London Broil and we were terribly disappointed. It lacked the flavor and richness we remembered from years of buying it before. We used real milk and butter and it was so blah. It got creamy but not rich. Our palates haven't changed, the flavor in this product has. I would like to know if there has been a recipe change in the last year.
